The Business Plan has been divided into function sections, with subpages created for each major section. Questions needing to be addressed in each section are on the pages. As you complete a section of the plan, replace the section text with the actual text for the business plan. This provides an easy way of making sure that each section is completed. Below the section pages is an area for resources on business plan development. Use the discussion tab on each section page to make your comments or ask your questions about section-specific material. |
Executive SummaryThis is the thesis statement and states business plan objectives. Use the key word approach (who, what, where, when, why, how, how much) to summarize. |
Organizational PlanThis section should include a summary description of the business statement followed by information on the "administrative" end of the company |
Operations PlanThis describes the flow of operations and provides a basis for system specification and design. |
Marketing PlanThe Marketing Plan defines all of the components of our marketing strategy. We will address the details of market analysis, sales, advertising, and public relations campaigns. The Plan should also integrate traditional (offline) programs with new media (online) strategies. |
Financial DocumentsThe quantitative part of the plan. This section of the business plan is the quantitative interpretation of everything stated in the organizational and marketing plans. Do not do this part of your plan until you have finished those two sections. Financial documents are the records used to show past, current, and projected finances. The following are the major documents to include in the Business Plan. The work is much easier if they are done in the order presented because they build on each other, utilizing information from the ones previously developed. |
Supporting DocumentsThis section contains all of the records that back up the statements and decisions made in the three main parts of your business plan. |
